BSidesAugusta is part of the Security BSides (BSides) phenomenon, a worldwide community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.
BSidesAugusta holds a yearly conference in the Fall with the goals of:
- Providing a safe platform for interesting and relevant talks
- Facilitating collaboration among professionals with diverse experience levels
- Keeping the per-attendee cost affordable
The event began in 2013 when Mark Baggett led a dedicated team of 7 organizers to put on the first event of its type in the area.
