BSides Kansas City is a non-profit educational organization created to advance the body of Information Security knowledge, by providing a yearly, open forum for debate and discussion for security engineers and their affiliates. Organizers produce a conference that is a source of collaboration, education, and continued conversation for information technologists and those associated with this field.
BSides Kansas City is also looking for speakers who can provide a diverse range of talks covering both emerging threats and technologies as well as conventional cybersecurity topics. Topics can range from completed or near-complete research, best practices, tool development, experiences and lessons learned. Generally speaking, if it deals with security, it is applicable. BSides conferences are designed to be conversations and should allow for interaction with the participants, as lectures are nice from time to time, but new insights or ancillary work often comes from dialogue.
